AWS Architecture: Massive Scalability, Minimal Cost

The topic of emerging trends in cloud-based application architecture will be explored at the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Denver-Boulder User Group on February 23, hosted by GTRI. The guest speaker for the evening will be Cameron Pope, Principal Cloud Architect for GTRI.
Part of the promise of AWS and the Cloud is that it handles “undifferentiated heavy lifting” for application developers and infrastructure engineers. On AWS, it is now possible to build Web applications that are completely composed of AWS managed services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3 and CloudFront. This functionality offers developers massive scalability at a very minimal cost.
At the AWS User Group meeting, Cameron will demonstrate developing, testing, maintaining and monitoring serverless applications in the Cloud. He will also look at the performance, scale and cost of AWS-hosted applications compared to traditional application architectures.
Reserve your spot for the upcoming AWS User Group and the presentation “Serverless Stack and the Future of Serverless Infrastructure” on Tuesday, February 23 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at GTRI. BBQ and beverages will be provided.
